Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Marinca is an Romanian actress. She was awarded the British Academy Television Award Best Actress award for her Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. French, German English and Romanian are fluent languages. Her father is a theater instructor at one of Romania's top acting schools. The Mangalia Gala, which is a celebration of Young Actors, she was awarded the Best Female Actor Award 2000. She was chosen as the first European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in 2008. Her performance in Romanian art-film 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days is remembered as well. The film won her many accolades, such as the European Film Award Best Actress to London Film Critics. She was an actress from Romania in Romanian actor in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 months 3 weeks and saptamani si 2 zile (four months 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 days) which was awarded the Palme d'Or and other prizes during the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. She also appeared on The Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, Marinca portrayed Yasim in BBC's Five-Episode The Last Enemy. Marinca was also a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. In the feature film Fury (2014) in which she appeared as Irma who was an German woman who played Emma's aunt.
