
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player, plays as a striker for San Diego Wave FC (NWSL) and is captain of the San Diego Wave FC. She was also co-captain of the United States women's soccer team from 2018 through 2020 alongside Megan Rapinoe as well as Carli Lloyd. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was drafted by Western New York Flash at number one in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had graduated from Berkeley in the early years. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. In the team, she made her professional debut and played in the team's win of the league championship. Morgan aged 22 at the time was the youngest player of the national team in the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, where the team was runner-up. In 2012's London Olympics Morgan scored the winning goal in the 123rd minute of the semi-final game against Canada. She was able to finish 2012 with 28 goals and 21 assists along with Mia Hamm as the only American woman to score 20 goals and score 20 assists in the same year, she became the sixth and the youngest U.S. player to score 20 goals in one season. Following her selection as the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year Morgan was also named a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan played a role in helping to help the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. Morgan was named to the Dream Team in both tournaments. In 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
